Fortunately Manchester United have over the years tended to play most friendlies abroad so with this in mind there are quite a number so i have selected this one to start off, there are many others

I chose this for the design and colour vibrancy in the main and nothing to always do with the occassion but that is my choice, others may well have different reasons for scarcity or something else

1963-4 Eintracht Frankfurt v Manchester United has the official programme as well as the Einfrancht Hefte edition which was the German club's official magazine. The Hefte has become much more scarce and Rare in many instances because as a Frankfurt Historian told me,"Once read at the game they were thrown to the floor" so a great number were simply lost.... The official programme for the UNITED match is bright Green and i recall in 1959-60 Frankfurt played Glasgow Rangers and others in the European Cup and produced 4 covers in vibrant colours as Pink-Orange-Yellow-Blue and the Green.

German Programmes in the 1950's were quite bland but some of the unofficial offerings from the likes of Lipphardt and Biter brightened things up and like here what was once considered as a poor relation in collecting terms is now much sought after, here are a few more Unofficial Pirates for want of a better word from Germany 1950-1970's.
