I came across this item earlier today, a sheet of unidentified autographs.

There is nothing else on the sheet to suggest who the autographs are from so I've taken these pictures in case anyone here may be able to identify or recognise any of the autographs shown.

I do not know with 100% certainty that they are football related but am fairly certain they will be.

Any hellp that anyone can give is greatly appreciated.

Matt

Obvious ones are Bob Wilson, Bob McNab, Pat Rice, Peter Storey, Peter Simpson, George Armstrong, Frank McLintock, John Roberts, Ray Kennedy, George Graham, John Radford, Geoff Barnett, Jon Sammels and Eddie Kelly.

Three left on the right that I'll look into that are trickier.

As Flaming Pie has already said, all from Arsenal early 1970's

Two of the other three are Don Howe and Sammy Nelson.

That leaves the one top right which looks like it reads Charlie George, but that is definitely NOT his signature.

don't want to be a wet blanket, but several of them look as if they were written by the same person. Ray Kennedy and George Graham for instance.

I am not an autograph expert/collector and of course different days often means very slight differences in handwriting but i am reasonably familiar with Arsenal 70s autographs. Some of them look more like somebody trying to copy /guess signatures rather than originals but on the other hand some look like the genuine signature.

For example this is a fairly typical Eddie Kelly signature

https://www.google.com/search?q=eddie+kelly+autograph&prmd=sniv&sxsrf=ALeKk01Ei0cDjxoq3oUs2XRhpSUlzwuwsg:1610328242898&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjYto6X3JLuAhUizIUKHVZHB9MQ_AUoA3oECAIQAw&biw=768&bih=1024#imgrc=jJm36jMxGHgROM

The one on the paper looks like a poor imitation. Similarly Pat Rice and John Radford look wrong. However some others eg Bob Wilson do look pretty genuine so either some very good copies or maybe some genuine and some not.

Perhaps somebody got a few genuine autographs then decided to complete the set.

Got to admit that I always tend to steer clear of autographs when a couple look fairly genuine and the rest not so...
If someone tries to copy out autographs from a team of eleven or so, you'll always get a few that look 'right'.
