Anyone else catch this old black and white childrens film this morning?

It was shown on London Live (a Freeview channel in the south-east)

Was really well made black and white film about a kids team, Barton United who reached their local cup final, were invited to train at Old Trafford and played a final in front of Bert Trautman at Althincham's ground (and won the cup!)

A local policeman was played by a young Bernard Cribbins (voice very recognisable!) and it really was a lovely watch on a Sunday morning!

The North Stand seats were under construction (and half way along built)

Found this about it online

If I notice it pops up again on the schedules I'll let people know on here, it would interest a few on here. Lovely to see the terraced houses, cobbled streets and canals, as well as the trophy room and a steam train going along behind Old Trafford - a real bit of nostaligia

Watched it a couple of months ago on 'Talking Pictures' TV which I assume it is where it will be next time.
