Correct Alex and that was about right, if slightly expensive, despite the teams involved.

Hi Boys & Girls,
Re the 1936 Scottish Cup Final, I've attached scans of the reproduction issue that was sold in one of the big English dealer's catalogue in the 1980's(?). It was on sale for £10 and I bought one knowing that I would never to be able to afford an original. There is nowhere on / in the copy to suggest that it isn't original although there are plenty clues, i.e.
- The slight card cover and inside pages are all in a "buff" colour and are immaculately lined up and the staples are not rusted (in the original that is on auction, the colour of the cover and inside pages are clearly different);
- There are no stains / creases / marks / rusty staple marks / writing / copy is in mint condition;
- In the copy there are marks on all the pages after the centre pages to suggest that the original staples had left small (rusty(?)) "dots" and are where the staples would have been, (however it looks like there is only one staple in the original for sale).
In no way am I suggesting that the programme on offer is not original, I'm just saying that there are repos out there.
Keep up the good work.

From just looking at the two scans I see nothing to be suspicious about the one on offer on eBay. However, I would touch not anything at this price anywhere except through a well-respected auction house. Clearly the eBay seller thinks Christmas has come early. They do give the impression of being rather greedy or they have no idea of the value from their opening price,now reduced to almost 'January sales price'. What really gets my goat is having asked for about £3000 they also want £8 on postage.

Any idea where I can get reproductions of the 1934 and 1935 programmes?

I have good reproductions of 1936 and 1937, would also be interested in 1938 and 1939 as well.

Is the 1934 final the first one produced for a Scottish Cup Final?

Hi as a newbie on here.

On looking at this thread if the programme pages are the same colour then this is a good spot for it being a reprint.

So I have a 1936 programme and the cover colour is different to the inner pages (see photo) could this indicate it might be an original?

It would be most appreciated on any help on what else I need to look for?
