Looking at their other items for sale, nothing else is ott, as they have some at £2.75 I assume they've entered the amount a bit quickly and missed out the point and not realised. |

This is the thing about eBay which is so frustrating
I agree, he has mistyped £2.75 as £275 - fair enough. But the programme is being automatically relisted every week so it just serves as a kind of clickbait - no one will ever buy it but people will check his other items out of curiosity
If there is one thing which would improve eBay it would be to remove the ability to relist unsold auction items. Relisting Buy it Now - fair enough - but if no one bids on an auction the first time around, why would they at second asking? |

Sid, that was my first thought, but the cynical side of me favours your other theory as i suspect SOMEONE will be telling him he has put the wrong amount in, well the auction is coming to an end soon so i would be amazed that no one as mentioned it.
As to your last comment, i can say from 1st hand knowledge that i have had some items relisted 3 or 4 times and then out of the Blue they are purchased and most surprisingly by collectors of good repute whom i would have thought were scouring Ebay day and night with lots of searches-so perhaps there is some merit in leaving it on as not everyone is looking all the time perhaps. The other point as well is that is buyers are savvy-they see you list something and then get to know if it did not sell asap then u will reduce it so they just wait?. _________________ Leslie Millman

I too have listed things that haven't sold and then resisted only for a bidding war to break out ....
There is no logic to eBay! _________________ Currently disposing of my collection so please email any wants lists to [email protected].

This is a mistake, John Daniels is one of the biggest Football Sellers on Ebay and been around a million years, its a typo error as I just asked him. Having over 1700 items at one time listed has to lead to the odd rick-he was amazed no one mentioned it! _________________ Leslie Millman

To be fair, I've done that plenty of times.
I'm only an occasional browser of ebay - usually if it's getting towards the end of the month and I've got some spare cash, and there have been several occasions where I've ended up in a bidding war for something that, when I check completed listings, had gone without a bid on its previous listing. |
