Football Team From Near The Potteries?

This battered old press photo was from the same batch that had the Denis Compton lookalike picture. Photographer is Templeman and Stoke-On-Trent is stamped on it. Doesn’t look like Stoke City or Port Vale , unless it’s an away strip? Looks like 1920s early 30s to me . Don’t think it’s a works team as most of the players have got that professional, fit look. I’ve had a look at shirts for local amateur teams near to the Stoke area,, Stafford, Burton, Tamworth,Leek , kidsgrove, Chaseford, Hednesford etc but can’t pick out that kit. Perhaps it was an away team visiting Stoke or Port Vale . Has anyone got any ideas? Many thanks.
