With so much talk in the last few weeks about the urgency for some income streams to be opened up to the EFL clubs, could this be a way for the Premiership clubs to help?

Spurs have just raised nearly £40k for the Justin Edinburgh Foundation by auctioning off their shirts from the Chelsea League Cup Tie on Ebay, with Harry Kane's raising the most at £5400.

Simple question - Why don't every Premiership club do the same for the rest of the season with the proceeds going to the smaller clubs in the pyramid?

With the Spurs shirts going on average for around £2,500, if all the PL clubs did the same every week that would be close to 400 shirts to be auctioned off every week, potentially raising around a million pounds each week for items that would normally just be given away, so not coming directly out of the PL clubs pockets.

Worth a thought?
