A true canary legend and an inspirational captain and leader. Will never be forgotten by city fans who saw - and heard him.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1941. Defender Duncan Scott Forbes began his career with the first of 3 clubs, Colchester United during the 1961-1962 season. Forbes spent the longest spell of his career with Norwich City, spending some 13 seasons with The Canaries. To date, our database contains details of 73 appearances made and 1 goals scored in a career spanning 20 seasons.

The biggest move of his career saw Forbes join Norwich City for £10,000 during the 1968-1969 season. Duncan Forbes has now retired from the game, having last played during the 1980-1981 campaign for Norwich City. Forbes sadly passed away on 23/10/2019, aged 78 www.thefootballarchives.com AutoBio

Scenes at St Peter's Gate as deceased 70's strikers scatter at the entrance of this man

A truly hard centre half who took no prisoners.

RIP Duncan
