Rothmans - repair or not?

Hi Guys

Looking for a little advice if anyone can help.

I have an number of Rothmans Football Yearbooks from the early 1980's that are starting to fall apart. In simple terms the spines have dried out and the pages are loose in clumps, 25-30 pages have come adrift from the spine.

My question is - do I get these repaired at a bookbinders or do I skip and buy replacements?

Your thoughts please.

80's replacements are so cheap, you may as well just replace and keep the damaged copies for reference

Not true, there has been a steady rise for alot of the earlier editions, with many of the early 70's going for £20-£30 now

There's a 1971-72 on ebay at the moment for £16.99. Surely with what you know, you should buy it as you could make a quick and easy profit on this second issue.

04/11 - £19.50
02/11 - £10 (buy it now)
30/10 - £18.99
25/10 - £29.99 (buy it now)
29/09 - £21.99

Giving an average sale price over the last 2 months of £20.09

Feel free to go and make 15p, I'm going to leave this one with you, perhaps you could keep your flippant remarks to yourself when you clearly dont have a proper understanding

It makes a massive difference whether you have a Hardback or Softback. The most valuable hardback by a country mile is the 1975/76 issue. Very few seem to come on the market.

Firstly, I don't want to buy one. Secondly, I refuse to enter into any debate with a person who does not have a "proper understanding" of the use of apostrophes and full stops. I am now leaving this with you, old chap.
