Looks 1920's, Lincoln were in Div III North from when it started in 1921/2 to 1930/1 and then were promoted in 31/2, surviving one season in Div II and then being relegated in 33/4. There they stayed.

So any of their opponents in that time...…. One or two faces in the front row look vaguely familiar.

Is it a postcard or press photo?

Don’t think they are pros. Empty stand, three moustaches in the back row. Did 1920s / 30s pro footballers go in for moustaches? Using my log tables and Archimedes principle, the average pro team during this era only averaged one moustache per squad of 30 odd players. These stats also include the tea lady. Don’t look skinny enough to be pros. At a guess , they could be a a well turned out factory / departmental , or Forces team?

Good point re tache's.

My last Crystal Palace team photo with a plethora of moustaches was 1908/9. (This photo is after then due to the keeper being in different kit).

In addition the lace-up necks went out of fashion in the early 20's.
