Your views on all those clubs you don't directly support, please. Don't contribute to the poll if your side is the subject of the question Smile

First up is PL leaders Chelsea - or is that Chavski.. Well, you can keep it simple or you can rant about JT, Cashley, Lumpard or whatever you like. Roman won't be reading this thread!

So, no sitting on the fence..

Having been completely stuffed at home to them this season and last, the team in general can play a great allround game. The players are put together well, with a good system and attitude.
That's the plus side out the way.
Drogba and Joe Cole are the only players I rate game in game out. Great work ethic and natural ability. The rest are the usual stroppy, greedy kiss badgers seen at all Prem teams.
Their programme are a dime a dozen even back to the 30's and when I hear people slagging off MK Dons as a franchise F.C. it grates me to think of Chelsea in the 80's and then after their financial boost. Whats the difference between the two?
We see everyday now, about teams going into administration through inept management and their falls from grace that follow, and I think the same will happen to Chelsea. I don't want it to but whats to stop it happening, winning the Premiership, as should happen this year, isn't enough to pay the huge bills that have amounted. And when Chelsea start to do an Arsenal and don't win things, what then?

Chelsea have never, effectively, killed another club to the best of my knowledge.

You may be correct in saying that "Chelsea have never, effectively, killed a club to the best of my knowledge". However in the 1988 play off their fans definitely tried to kill the Boro's in a riot at Stamford Bridge.

I've never been so scared in my life and I've detested that club ever since for that reason alone.

I think the comparison to MK dons was a bad one but I do agree with this quote

I think the past could catch up with Abramovich (sp?). Once he asks for his £500,000,000 loan back Chelsea will have 6 months to pay him. Any business running at a £50million a year loss is gonna struggle to pay back half a billion in 6 months and I dont think there will be a mug waiting to take them over.

I have no idea if the Russian's money is a loan that needs paid back or not, but we are just about emerging from the worst recession in living memory and these big clubs are all still here.

It's very unlikely they will ever disappear, they never do, they are a licence to print money from a marketing point of view with a massive global fanbase. Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd are not going bust, they may have to cut costs, but they will continue to dominate the EPL.

I remember watching that on TV. That, Heysel and the Luton/Millwall riot were the "incidents" of English hooliganism from the 80's that everyone remembers.

Remebering some of the good and bad Chelsea sides Ive seen over the years, I have to say I'm not bothered either way about Chelsea. Im probably a bit jealous of their recent success, I would love it at the Mol. I can't say I agree with them buying thier sucess, and they have certainly helped increase all that is bad in the premier league. If it all goes tits up, I wont shed any tears for them.

Chelsea are surviving because one of the richest men in the world is lending them money... It is a loan by the way and they will have 6 months to pay him back.

Licence to print money?? why then are they posting a £50m per year loss? that does not sound like a licence to print money to me, that sounds like a flawed business model (relying on one man) that is being overlooked because 'its football'

By the way I voted "Not fussed either way" just incase my posts are coming across as anti-Chelsea. They are so far removed from the football that I watch that I really couldnt give a toss.

I dont dislike any team other than Liverpool, Celtic and Derby but I will save that for another thread

i always had a bit of a soft spot for them when i was growing up in early 70s and maybe its just hazy memories and selective TV snippets but they had a flair team with players like Cooke, Hutchinson, Houseman, Osgood, Hudson.

Yes they do appear to have a bottomless pit of money but then many clubs have shown in the past that buying players is the easy bit while making them into a trophy winning team is the hard bit. In any case if Roman A wants to chuck his money into the club then so what. If he pulls out and Chelsea collapse then again so what. Football will hardly disappear under either scenario, it will readjust.

Lets be honest the football greed started long before Roman turned up but coincided with Sky and the Murdoch arrival. At least Roman is hanging around. But Chelsea hardly have the monopoly on ridiculous/powerful spending.

Their team does have some complete arrogant arseholes but then sadly that applies to the vast majority of premier players these days because most earn in a year more than i will earn in twenty years.

Overall there is lots i don't like about them and frankly there are very few of their players i would like to have at arsenal. However trying to look at the big picture they are no better or worse in lots of regards than most other premiership teams so bottom line is i couldn't care less about them.

Well, I used to dislike them intensely but I've grown up a bit since then. Save it all for something much more worthwhile Smile

And, they do play a decent game these days even if the old Chopper Harris mentality does resurface occasionally..

Can't stand Cashley and fail too understand why a player with the talent of Drog goes down the way he does when tackled by a blade of grass.
I have also found it highly amusing in the previous 2 seasons when half
their players were telling the press in September how they were going to win all 4 trophies and managed 1 out of 8 in 2 seasons.
As someone else said earlier i did vote for not fussed either way and don't class myself anti-Chelsea,especially as i seem to have far too many friends who support them. Very Happy

i hate them simple as.i hope to god they do go bust and run out of money couldnt happen to nicer people.i long for that day to come, they like utd fans wise they dont recognise chelski existed and only just before they won the league.they won .......before then a fa cup and league in 55 oh and full members cup for the hell of it.they were in old div2 fighting of relegation in back end of 82/83.yep thats relegation to old div3.then bates sold them for a quid ! a quid i ask you.they always thought they were better than others even when getting tonked at scarborough in league cup ! then they were still in old div2 up to 89.their have no values other than value of money example of that is cashley without doubt the c**t and terry proving he's got no respect for others either in doing what he did to a teamate...hey mr chelsea is he well hey chelsea were desperately trying to offload him in late 90s he went onloan to a fair few sides but mr chelsea of course was never gonna leave .......was he.they ruined west ham when they had the makings of a damn good side taking joe cole and that twat lampard from them they have players who look at you like you piece of shite on their 40,000 trainers.they are every single thing that is wrong with modern day football.middlesboro play off game stamford bridge is correct.and their chairman who really loved his own fans wanted to put up electric fences and wanted them switched on during games to keep his fans in....chelsea i passionately hate them and the shite.they are killing modern day football.simple.

With the exception of Cashley Cole and the theatrics of drogba, i can tolerate the rest of the current chelsea team.

Some people are jealous of Chelsea and all the money, but it's one thing having all the money and just buying the biggest named players, they seemed to go out and buy the right players for the team, granted they spent a lot of money but they bought the players that fitted the team and made them into a winning outfit.

Exactly what Carl said, voted not fussed for both. Don't really care about Man Utd or Chelsea, wouldn't waste my time being p*ssed off with them, when I can hate Derby, Leicester and Celtic!

Couldn't give a flying fuck about any team in the Premiershit. They've all got their noses in the trough, and the game they play is so far removed from what used to be a working class sport, that if the whole thing went tits up, and they all went to the wall I wouldn't give a tinker's cuss!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't wish that any football fan loses their team, and yes, there are decent, honest, real football fans that follow Chelsea and the other so called "Big 4" teams, even the Old Firm.

I dont follow any of them, but please dont let a dislike for a team lead to wishing they disappear. It happened to my English team that I was a season ticket holder of, and it's not pleasant.
