Chester v Portsmouth 1981/82 query

I have a single sheet programme for this match, played on 19/1/82. There is an apology for not providing the usual programme due to the hasty re-arrangement of the game, which was scheduled 3 days earlier.

Neither team was involved in the FA cup by then so presumably it was postponed due to weather. You would have expected them to use the original programme. does anyone know if a programme was printed for the original match?

As far as I know No programme was issued for the original date,

I can only assume bad weather caused the postponement

Looking at the match report.....It was chester,s first home win for 9 months

Also if you read pompeys next home programme there is an article about the poor weather over the xmas period.(although the chester game is not mentioned)

Couldn't advise on the prog but original game was called off due to the weather. As of the Friday night, only 20 of the 46 league games remained on

As someone who was at the game on the Tuesday night, there was no sign of a programme from the previous Saturday's postponement. Not sure Chester had bothered to even produce one. With hindsight, should have kept some of the team sheets in pristine condition, might be worth a few bob now, along with the 73-74 Pompey FA Cup replay at Swindon, again a white single sheet.
