Hi All,

I've just been chatting to a pensioner who went to the final and he has a programme from the game. Due to the fact that he's on a state pension, he reluctantly wants to sell this if he can get a decent price for it. So, what would you say that you could get for this in the current climate, and is anybody interested? Cheers, Mick.

Tell him not to sell it, simple as.

If he stays alive another six months he'll get twice as much as anyone will offer at the moment imo. Thumbs Up

He has some other programmes from the 50's that he wants to sell too, and I did say to him that if he wasn't desperate for the cash, hang on to 'em.

Mick- I've got a 66 Final programme which I took to ELR in Sheffield on Tuesday, just to get it checked out as legit.

The chap there, Rob Lea, said it was the cleanest one he'd come across, but was defo an original. He said if it went in I'd be looking at £100-£120 at present.

I am obviously holding onto it no matter what, but that's an up to date figure for you.

Be interesting to know what else he has.

Cheers

Jim

You can try Sportingold Auctions. Depending on who is at auction on the day I would say somewhere between £120-150 but after fees the seller will end up with nearer £100 - £130.

Thanks for all the replies chaps. Someone on the forum has contacted me via PM, and pretty much offered the amount you're talking about, if it is in perfect condition. I wouldn't sell personally, but I guess we old need to get to our 60's and be living on the breadline before we make that decision!!
