no it wasn't me unfortunately, i'm pretty sure though that the seller ended the auction early to the highest bidder, i thought there were 5 days left on the auction today when i first came across them but i may have read it wrong and it was 5 hours? i'd say £600-£700 worth there maybe?

That seems a bit dodgy to me. If it ended early end it only went for that price, I think he got a mate to bid on it.

Looks like it was only listed the day before too, unless they were looking for a very quick sale?

No way it sold for £50, the seller probably received an offer and accepted it, and ended the auction.

What sort of offer would entice you to end the auction early when you've already notched £50 in short time?

Surely he was looking at £4-5K absolutely minimum for these if they were sold separately - I think I'd be straight round to Sportinggold with that lot..

PS The stupid bugger's left feedback so someone's made a killing.

Well he'd sold lots of programmes before according to his history, so I would imagine he has a rough idea of what he's doing? maybe he just ended it himself and decided to go to auction instead....

The same seller got £55.99 for an Oxford programme from 68/69 last week so he probably has a fair idea what they could be worth.

Would someone who sold that programme for £55.99 a few days ago let such a good bundle go without getting a reasonable price?

Programme for the same game finished last night!!! Wouldn't have paid £55.99 for it though, seller must be rubbing hands together with that sale.

well the seller did respond to my message and she told me that she accepted £450...........one might suggest a stonking bargain at just about £3 an item. Even the cellotaped or damaged ones will fetch above that price. Maybe the seller isn't that wised up after all.

I would of said personally that apart from the pre-war programmes & the odd early to mid 40's programmes involving Spurs most of them were run of mill rubbish anyway, with the exception of the early 50's Gateshead programmes but even they were poor condition.

Conservatively numbers 1-30 ought to fetch £450-500 alone.

Then up to 54 - another £300 minimum.

The Gateshead ones as you said worth a fair bit..

Spose now I've looked at it properly £1500 would be a very conservative low estimate for the entire lot. £2000-2500 a decent return.. perhaps £3K the lot on a good day.

Run off the mill stuff certainly. Nothing special amongst that lot, i would say she (or he) got a decent price.
