Some recent wins at various auctions, some of which cost me more than I will ever get back should I sell them. One or two are now sold and I hope the new owners don't mind my sharing them here.

1. Topical FA Cup 5th round action - a replay at non-league Wigan after a 2-2 draw at Newcastle, 1954. Vic Keeble and Ivor Broadis are the Newcastle players and good to see the state of the stand after a visit from the Toon Army. Newcastle won 3-2. (SOLD)

2 FA Youth Cup winners 1964 - Manchester United. Here's skipper Bobby Noble with the cup - their star-studded side demolished Swindon 5-2 on aggregate with a David Sadler hat-trick being the decisive factor. George Best scored in the away leg. (SOLD)

3. FA Youth Cup losing finalists 1955 - West Bromwich Albion. Mo Setters and Graham Williams are the most familiar faces in the front row.

4. Sam Bartram & Jimmy Seed, 1954. The Charlton boss made Sam skipper for the day on the occasion of his 500th game for the Addicks.

5. Jimmy Hill & Rod Munro, Brentford, c 1950.

6. Bobby Robson with WBA Physio Fred Pedley c 1958 (SOLD)

7. Johnny Haynes and Tommy Trinder, Fulham, 1961. All smiles as Fulham receive offer of £100,000 for the signature of Haynes from AC Milan, who want to pair him up with their other new signing, Jimmy Greaves. At about the same time the £20/week wage cap was abolished and Haynes became the first £100 a week footballer. No wonder he's smiling! As for Tommy, he was a comedian and some of today's chairmen/owners are too but he was a real one.

That's all for now folks. Let me know if anything's of interest or maybe you might fancy one of the 7,000 others resting on my website. I've marked the "Sold" ones.
