Lot 498. Guide Price £100-120. Sale Price - £80. Cardiff vs West Ham 65-6 FLC semi final. Didn't reach bottom of price guide. Can remember people paying £150 plus for this a few years back. Was it just a blip on the day, or symptomatic of ebay lowering prices?

Lots 753 to 762 (bar lot 756) were for previous Olympic games programmes and all well exceeded their Guide Prices, some spectacularly so. Item 761 G.P £120-150, S.P. £390. With the Olympic games due here in 2012 interest in all things athletics, especially Olympics is likely to be sky high. Could be an excellent investment, if that's what these bids were?

Lot 792. GP. £90-100, S.P. £290. My one indulgence at this sale. 100 plus letters, mainly Scottish non league from the 1930's and 40's on officially headed paper. Many long now defunct, like Loanhead Mayflower and Linwood Thistle make this a really interesting lot (for me, anyway!)

Lot 916. G.P. £70-80, S.P. £150 for 23 Man. Utd treble season away tikctes. Works out at just under £7 per ticket, which isn't cheap, but there won't be to many such sets about.

Lot 935. G.P £120-140, S.P. £170 for complete set of BPA homes from their lasts eason, 69-70. A lot of BPA homes have recently appeared on ebay, and gone relatively cheaply, so the games against Scunthorpe (last home game) Huddersfield WRSC (last game as a league club) and friendlies against Cardiff and Leeds will have pushed this lot to above it's guide price.

Lot 1013 G.P £140-160, S.P. £520 for 80 odd mainly late 50's reserves. As I disn't get to the auction would be very interested to know what caused the huge sale price, one or two really rare items?

No, but Chris provides an excellent courier service, so should hopefully be getting them before Hogmanay!
