It is that time of year again.

Sellers list poppy badges on Ebay of which no contribution is actually made to the Poppy Appeal.

I used to collect them but have steered clear. Wish sellers would find a conscience and do the same.

Oh - and another thing - if you are going to produce such badges twinned with a club then at least have the decency to place the poppy symbol in front of the club crest... £5 all in for the below badge and the seller sold 89 at the last count.

I know that TheBadgeman ( a member of this very forum) does give lots of large cheques from his poppy sales to the RBL, and he posts proof on , his facebook page, so not all such sellers are bad guys

At the Palace home game last Saturday against Liverpool, the official Poppy sellers (Army cadet volunteers in uniform) around the ground sold badges with both the Palace crest and the poppy on them for £3, indeed you can still get them from the Palace online shop, Pardew even wore one on his jacket on the post match MOTD interview

A donation was made for each badge sold when we did them.

Glad to see what Palace did. Think a few other clubs have done the same.

I believe the Crewe Alex badge shop donated all proceeds from the (very popular) poppy badges to the RBL.

Its a pretty standard practice that most badges sellers whom have poppy badges on their boards donate a good percentage ..... its not always the case and even less the internet jockeys . ..
I think I'm right in saying that West Ham Badgeseller does a very nice poppy issue every season and donates all the proceeds from sales although WHUFC do not waiver their slice of the cake!
