Cardiff v Swansea, 1938 Football League 50th Anniversary

Ive just been offered a programme in good condition from the Cardiff v Swansea game in 1938 (??) which was the FL 50th Year Anniversary edition. I know these have been discussed before on here for other teams but does anyone have any idea on value.

Thanks John - is that just your opinion on a local derby programme from that age or do you believe the tie in to the 75th anniversary has an effect too?

i agree, anything from that period will go from about £140 onwards.

Just the fact that both Cardiff and Swansea programmes pre war are thin on the ground, I don't think the 75th anniversary makes any difference at all.

I presume that the programme in question is the 1888-1938 Jubilee Football League Benevolent Fund programme. If so I believe that they are not the normal club issue of that season and the content is completely different. At least that's the case for the 38/39 SUNDERLAND v BORO Jubilee Benevolent Fund prog and the 39/40 BORO v SUNDERLAND one.

I have the Blackburn v Burnley issue and it is not a Blackburn programme but a programme issued by the football League, I believe all games have the same programme issd , yje only diffference being the line up page.
