The joys of selling on ebay

Last week I sold a gold £2 coin on ebay - cue more than a dozen ridiculous offers, accusations of forgery and general obnoxiousness

This week I sold 116 West Ham programmes, every query I had was polite, relevant to what I was offering for sale and respectful

I've noticed this over the years as an infrequent seller with ebay - selling anything other than football programmes is a miserable experience, selling football programmes I never have a moment's bother

Anyone else the same?

Coins are such a problem nowadays so many fakes from China, even in graded capsules so has created a very untrusting buyer market, with some justification if you look at the state it is in. None of the grading companies seem to bothered to challenge the Chinese faking their grading system and with often big money needed to get high graded coins leaves for a tetchy market.

Margins are also super tight it is impossible to trade in successfully to any degree it is a market best left alone. I did dabble a while ago, did okay but spent so much time locating decent opportunities that I decided to let it go as there is clearly to many people at it.
