With the fiftieth anniversary of our World Cup win approaching, I am think of selling my WC ticket stubs. They are tickets for the 10 games played in London, nine at Wembley and one at White City, obviously they include the final. They are all in very good condition, no writing or rips etc.

My questions are, where is the best place to sell them auction house, ebay etc. and what am I likely to get for them. Yes, I know they are worth what someone is prepared to pay but would like a rough estimate.

Thanks in advance.

Roger. I recently bought a set of 10 at auction. you could expect to get between £300-400 for the set less selling costs.

Hello Roger
I expect to see more and more memorabilia coming out in the next few weeks with the 50th anniversary approaching.
Prices have dropped considerably but with the anniversary approaching and tv documentaries it should pick up.
I would expect the set to fetch between £300-£400 if a buyer was out there. The final fetches £80-£150 plus on a good day. The rest go for between £25 and £50.
I would give EBay a go as you will pay less in fees and would get a quick return.
All my opinion of course.
Good luck!

Was typing when the other reply was sent, good to see we were both singing off the same hymn sheet!

There is still plenty of value in tickets from the North East Group (Roker & Ayresome) followed by Old Trafford. The former tickets can sell individually for hundreds of pounds, especially with the stubs attached.

Meanwhile the games from Wembley are far less attractive apart from the final of course
