One of the first names I remember as a boy, alongside Ernie Phythian - regular goal-getters with unusual names.

Bit of a legend in Ireland not to mention Hartlepool and Sunderland.

Player-manager of my club Limerick during the 1972/73 season. I can recall his first game eventhough I'd just turned 6. He came on as a sub and headed against the post from the edge of the box.
