There have been loads of threads about this seller regarding his marketing style, buying and selling methods, bidding practices etc etc. Some of them not too long ago I think.

For example what's all that about on the 1934 Chesterfield v Villa programme.

30 bids all from the same bidder input over a period of 2 minutes

Have a search in the index for past threads.

I don't know if this is the reason but I bid on a programme I really wanted but was going to be out when it finished. So I put another maximum bid to cover and found an outbid email in my inbox. I won the auction with the original bid.
So what I'm getting at is that this bidder might be thinking he's/she been outbid when in fact it's just their bid generation the outbid emails.

Aye, I can't afford the stuff he sells, quality memorabilia.
I would presume he gets them at auction, he is a member of this forum as well.

It has been written before but I shall repeat it again. It is shill bidding of the most obvious and blatant nature. The vendor is trying to make a fast buck on items pyrchased at auctions (nothing wrong with that) but is clearly spectacularly unsuccessful probably due to lack of knowledge. The marketing style is quite frankly pathetic but also rather amusing.

The 1922 Cup Final bidding pattern really is quite something. Real laugh out loud stuff. Shocked

The funny thing is I know when this fella is bidding as I have the Ebay app on my phone which alerts me when I have a bid on one of my items.

Needless to say the phone goes on silent when he get's going!

I've seen that kind of bidding many times, I mentioned one recently on Peter Rundo's and there is no disputing that he is as honest as the day is long, i've had people going at it hammer and tongs for a 99p item and told them to stop, I said i've got two FFS. A major Rangers collector told me he does it all the time to beat his rivals into the ground, he doesn't lose. I recently had quite a few bids against me and I know the seller well and he is brand new. There is an ebay article on shill bidding, but I found that this wasn't that helpful.

Why does the one bidder bid on 99% of his items. No one can convince me that this is not highly suspicious.

I'll tell you what is highly suspicious, hiding all bidders identities.

The 1927 Cup Final is listed again. It sold last week for about £600 and appears to be re listed, deep down in the description it says it has a replacement cover, but apparently that shouldn't make any difference! The bit about the replacement cover could easily be missed whilst reading the description.
