My book available now on Kindle

Some 31 years after having my thesis published "The Great Grimsby Lock Out of 1901" my son Shaun has helped me get it reprinted as an ebook.

When I originally had it printed, the money raised to cover the cost was via public subscription, and the money raised - £600 - was donated to the Campaign for Justice for Sacked Mineworkers from the 1984-5 Miner's Strike.

The reprinted version is only £4, and all the money raised from this sale will go to The First Base Agency, the charity I work for who provide assistance to ex armed forces personnel, families affected by drink and drugs, and all the provision of 450 food parcels each month in Dumfries. I work voluntarily, on a part time basis for this organsiation and they're always needing money, hence the reprint.

Haven't altered anything since it was first published, and it's not War and Peace as the thesis guidelines deemed it had to be restricted to 15,000 words.

As the books proceeds are all going to charity, certain posters on here will be glad to know there are no tax implications.

Tis that Eck, because it was free to do so. To have physically printed it would have been too cost prohibitive.

yes once you buy a book you read it through any device through Kindle Cloud Reader.

yes I've started as well. Well written but I'd expect that from the author
and a really good cause.
