It says 'Wembley' and '1925'. Is it a Cup Final badge of some sort?

Looks more like the Wimbledon mens singles trophy (although the football on the badge confuses things)

oh yes i agree looking back it looks nothing like the fa cup !

Could it be something to do with the British Empire Exhibition which was held at Wembley in 1925, may have been an exhibition match of some sort.

Yes it ties in perfectly with the empire exhibition.

And the current f a cup has been used since 1911

It's not an f a cup badge of that we can be sure
