Hi Albion
What is your intention with these programmes? Some nice items that forum members may be interested in

Firstly I have no idea of who Dangerman is or what he's about, what I can tell you is that My wife and I are contemplating moving abroad.
It may well be that the time to sell is now, but I have no intention of giving them away so I see this as consulting with the experts of which I assume you are one?
I don't have the time to list all, but on a cold Sunday afternoon when the wife has not got me working on something else, I'm trying to give those and only those interested, insight in to some of what I have.
Several on here have been courteous to inquire if I have certain clubs etc, and I am checking for them!
Others have given their time to provide positive comment and I openly thank you all.
In an ideal world if such exists I would prefer to deal and sell with people on here, you are a mixture of collectors and dealers.
Perhaps you will understand that almost sixty years of collecting, does not come easy when considering parting with them.
I will be grateful for any feedback or interest you may have, but please do not feel it necessary to compare me with anyone else.

Best wishes,

Con Baker

Ps in the time its taken me to reply to you my wife has come up with a job!

Dangerman is like ME and you. A poster who posts and gets on peoples nerves, with continuous posts of wanting a FREE VALUATION or just annoys other members.
How many is that now ?
Why dont you list all your programmes in one go, then you can sell up and move abroad a lot quicker Wave

Carry on posting Con. I for one find them interesting to look at. I don't mind if you list 200 individual postings or one post with 200 programmes.

Some very nice items being shown, can't help much with valuations but enjoying the viewing.

Is this one £3 as well Bazza?

If you a few early 50s Fleetwood progs at that price I think I can find a buyer.

Anyone can upload programmes on here if he wants to sell them then sell them.. How much is this one ? How much is that one ? He seems like a ditherer to me, an earlier post said he brought these programmes around a fair in Peterborough several years ago.

Do us a favour ALBION99 List them and sell them Cool

What is your problem with someone asking for a valuation? This is an open forum and surely this should be accepted?

If you don't like what someone is posting don't reply.

Your negative comments only put people off!!

Bazza probably thinks its an auction, and has started the bidding.

Personally I would list them on eBay. It's nice to sound out collectors , but as you say, you don't want to give them away. If you have no idea of their worth then how would you know what is a fair offer ? We have been down this road many times. Insults will start flying in all directions.
Basically your programmes are very nice and I would say in the £20 to £30 each bracket. If you get a bidding war going on eBay then who knows ?
I like looking at your scans. Interesting as they are, asking for valuations on each one is a pointless exercise.

Bazza I take heart from the replies I've received who tell me you are not the voice of the forum, thank god!
Am I right in assuming you already have everything you need, so why bother, please don't answer that, like you I'm not interested!
I didn't make the site and I certainly have not come up with any of its sub headings, which seem to upset you!
Your attitude is probably one that goes a long way to endearing would be collectors not to take up the hobby.
Unless you are able to tell me to the contrary that this is exclusively your site then might I respectfully ask you to mind your own business.
Its like television old son, you don't have to watch, if you don't want to.
If you are some elected spokesman within the site looking for Dangermen good luck to you, but please leave me to communicate with those who share our/my enjoyment.
No doubt on the basis of your attitude so far you will respond, but I wish to assure you this is my last foray in to your arrogant negativity.
So my best wishes to you.

Con

Dangermans Dad Im sorry if i have offended you.

Stop clogging up the Recent posts with single items just because you have one or two supporters (KFC) for example it does not make it popular with the rest of the members. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

You're not speaking for me, Barry, and I suspect many others on here.

I'll take scans of quality non-league programmes over "bedroom bandit" definitions and "my collection's bigger than yours" any time.

At the very least, they're interesting to see, aren't they?

I suspect his rudeness towards other forum members does not make him a popular member of this forum.

I am with you Steve, much rather read posts on unusual programmes than another rude moan from someone that appears to be on here only to put others down and moan about their enquiries regarding our hobby.

Agreed - I for one have enjoyed my short time on this forum but some people just seem to put others down and belittle them. Pointless and negative. As others posters have said, if you don't like it, keep off it.

I see the usual suspects are raising their ugly heads.
The ones that try to get fellow members banned because they speak their mind and enjoy a bit of Banter.
Your the ones that create conflict and I dont liked being called by my first name unless i know yours Love Love Love

I'm with you Bazza

This guy is a collector.
But he's not a collector as he's a seller(possibly)
he is going abroad(possibly)

He wants to know what they are worth.
But by the sounds of it he knows what they are worth as he allegedly "bought them round the Peterborough area"
What he paid was presumably what he thought they were worth then
add on a bit for inflation since he bought and knock off a bit for the economic climate and you have a pretty good idea

Now all he has to do is decide if he wants to sell them
When he does he can put them on ebay, put them in an auction, put them on here(or similar) for offers or put them on here(or similar) with fixed asking prices

What he is doing at the moment is just a waste of everybody's time
With some of the non collecting collectors on here time wasting is not an issue

To sum up Con,what you have is some nice programmes
If you were just showcasing them it would be very acceptable to just see nice programmes
It is unlikely that any potential buyer on here is likely to offer you what they are worth on here as this is a forum of dealers, who want to make a profit which you also want to make
There are a few two bob fish and chip shop merchants who will buy them if they already have them sold at a profit
There are a few "a bit skint at the moment mate" merchants
A sizeable spread of non collecting collectors
There are of course a few nice people who want to help who are still onside at the moment but after they have seen, commented and valued a dozen or so programmes will get bored

Bazza is right
You need to decide what you want to do,announce it and then more people will give you a valuation

I tell you what, Con, how about you do exactly what you like as long as it's not openly negative/patronising to another user. With this guiding principle, most people will appreciate what you write. The ones who don't, well,...

It continues to fascinate me just what satisfaction if any the person known as BAZZABAGGIES gets from posting his diatribe on here.

It is patronising and of no interest to any collectors or sellers. Some of it is offending.

But it takes all sorts I guess.
