Reluctantly yes!

Yes the best player i have ever seen in the flesh. I saw Maradona in the 86 world cup and he was a bit good, also several great players in the Holland side of the mid to late 80s but George was in my opinion the best of the lot. Perhaps because i saw him a lot more than the others. I was not a Man United fan but saw him score six at the Cobblers, saw him score a rather special goal for Fulham at Peterborough, and saw him on other occasions always head and shoulders the best player on the pitch.

I only saw him play once: as a guest substitute for a Northern Ireland XI in Billy Bingham's testimonial versus Newcastle United at Windsor Park in 1994.

He was clearly pissed. And he nutmegged Andy Cole.
