Palace v Wolves, 18.3.72 - 0-2

Narrative says: "John Jackson (Palace goalie) makes a fine save away from the head of Derek Dougan (Wolves) centre with (left) Palace's new centre half Bobby Goldthorpe" (for whom this was the only league appearance in his Palace career).

Bit harsh of Bert Head to give this young lad his only game against a player like Dougan.

I saw this same pic on ebay last week did you bye it by any chance think it was over a cock and hen the last time i looked at here.

Yes he realy was the business in the air was The Doog almost unplayable at times has i know from experance ,,,,but has thay say thats another story?.

Yes, I got it off Ebay for under a tenner and I outbid a trader who would have doubled it before re-offering.

One for my collection and Mr Goldthorpe now features in his only game.

I am sure there is another photo doing the rounds of The Doog scoring one of Wolves goals in this 2-0 win with Bobby Goldthorpe also in the picture putting a late tacke in on the Doog with the ball allready on its way into the Palace net.

Thanks once again for posting, taken from the Sheffield Utd v Wolves fixture 28/10/67 a 1-1 with The Doog scoring newly promoted Wolves equlizing goal after Alan Woodward had opened the scored for United.

Has your dads mate any more has i would love to se them.
