An ebay seller theprincebishop is claiming to be selling a rare Newcastle United away friendly ticket for a game that he claims never happened.

Now I emailed him last friday explaining that Newcastle United from Newcastlewest County Limerick played in the League then and indeed lost 3-0 to Derry City in the LoI first division on January 19th 1986.

The seller has chosen to ignore this and failed to amend his listing.

I would hope no Newcastle United fan is fooled by this. This ticket and this game has no connection with Newcastle United from Newcastle upon Tyne England.

I see the seller is selling other tickets featuring the English Newcastle United.

Perhaps he was conned into buying the disputed ticket and is now trying to pull a fast one to get his money back.

You probably innocently listed the item. Taking almost a week to remove it having been told it was misleading and presumably only after seeing this messageboard says a lot.

I'll let people make up their own minds.

I make no apologies for posting on here and will continue to do so.
