Hi
I have bought this Spurs home friendly versus Fulham May 1945
Am I right in saying that this was Spurs final football match before the war ended?
Thanks for any help Easy

My book says that League South 1944-5 ended on 26th May so this friendly is 3 days after that.

League South recommenced the following August (Palace's first South league game was 25th August and we didn't play any pre-season friendlies).

Germany surrendered on 8th May but Japan fought on till after Hiroshima & Nagasaki and finally surrendered on 15th August.

So it all depends on when you consider the war to have ended and if Spurs played any pre-season friendlies in July/August 45.

The next Spurs friendly after Fulham was at home to Chelsea March 2nd 1946, Spurs won 4-2 exactly 69 years ago today.( pity that wasn't the score yesterday)
