burnley programme valuation

Burnley are setting up a centenary exhibition to commemorate winning the F A Cup in 1914, they have 2 items that will be going on display, although not connected to the final itself, are from the pre first world war period, the first is a home programme from the 1912-13 season sgainst Bury, the second is a booklet for their tour of Europe in june 1914, i wonder if someone could give me a valuation for insurance purposes, for each of these items, any help would be greatly appreciated

It's all dependent of course, on how much any two people would want these items.Burnley are a very collectable club so there would be no lack of interest for them, and I would expect that the pre WW1 programme could go for between the £300-£500 mark. The booklet could also go for a similar figure. For insurance purposes though, where would you start as the programme is most unlikely to turn up again, and the booklet is not going to be common either, so the cost of any replacement must be substantially higher than their value.

I'm sure Burnley collectors will give you a much more detailed appraisal once they see this post.

Thanks Auchinleckian for your reply, it`s much appreciated, i agree with your valuation on the programme, the tour booklet is anyone`s guess, hopefully a Burnley collector can guide me on the booklet, before i confirm the valuations with the club
