One for Leslie here, or maybe somebody else might know too.

Were programmes produced for Utd youth and reserve fixtures from the start? And also, what about Lancashire league/Manchester league and supplementary cups etc?

I have seen reserves from pre war, just wondered if they were always produced and what is the rarity?

Look out for reserve games, especially the Gilchrist Cup and the like, from the Cliff. I've seen dozens of them , nearly all single sheets if my memory serves me right, at a friend of mine who collected them for donkeys before they were what everybody else was after.

Also wondering about the Gilgryst cup, aswell as the Manchester senior cup and the Lancashire senir cup, were all these competitions just played by clubs reserve teams?

Re Manchester United Youth.
I played in a Lancashire League Div Two fixture 1st April 1967 for Souhport "A" v United "B" at the Clif cant recall any prog s being about that afternoon.....but dose not mean to say thay were never issued for L/L that season.
United won this game 4-2 with the guy i was supposed to be marking a certain Don Givens scoring two of the United goals .
The United team that day was; Poole; Loftus,Bolger;Lang,Crossley,Weir;Taylor(1),Oakley (B), Johnson (1), Givens(2), Ramshead.
