What a fantastic night at Wembley last night. The large 'away' following certainly helped the atmosphere. A great performance against Poland and against Montenegro the other day, all credit to Roy and the boys.

I think we'll do alright in Brazil. I'm not mad or drunk enough to suggest we'll win it but i'm confident that we'll perform better than we did in 2010.

Roll on the summer!!!

Many people frowned a little when Roy Hodgson was appointed but a record of 1 defeat in 22 with a win ratio of 59% takes some beating. Clap

Very entertaining game last night, not the usual turgid fare that England normally offer. Full credit to both sides.

But lets not kid ourselves, we weren't exactly in with Europe's powerhouses, Ukraine, Poland, Montenegro, Moldova and San Marino.

We should finish top of that group everytime and that's not arrogance, and no disrespect meant to the others, but the truth.

Anything less than top spot and the torches and pitchforks would have been out for Roy the Boy.

We haven't achieved anything. We haven't played anybody, better teams than Poland aren't going to keep giving the ball back.

What optimism?the last Scot to make bold claims was Ally McLeod in 1978,but he wasn't really obnoxious with it. That is the only reason we get pleasure from the English world cup disasters, nothing to do with the ordinary blokes,it's media and pundits who get this mad stuff going, they whip the masses up,then when things start to go tits up they massacre the players and manager, they usually pick on a particular player eg Gazza,Beckham,Rooney,it was last time.

Too right we will, My lasting memory of South Africa is that overrated Roooooney, blaming everone, even the supporters for his poor showing.

England prove they're not very good at every finals.

Scotland prove it in every qualifying tournament.

However, roll back to the 70's, and it was the other way round. Peru and Iran Ayatollah , anyone?

Roy has a great team spirit going, good young players coming through and we look good going forward. Hopefully they will not be too worn out at the end of the long season. Mind you if you cannot get yourself excited about playing in World Cup Finals in Brazil.

I do not think many teams will want to have us in their group.

So glad we avoided the play offs.

Life long dream to go to a world cup finals. I'll be trying to go but don't really expect I'll make it. The are just too many problems;

Get tickets - I want to see as many games as possible

Get places to stay - Hotels have increase prices x 5 already.

Then the is the problem having to take someone who thinks she's going on holiday Sad If it was just me I would go before a month before and stay a month after.

If anyone see any competitions to enter with World cup trips please post them or let me know.

As for England's chances ?

Often these events are spoilt by all the talk about England winning. It really would be nice to go their and enjoy the event and miss out on all the depression and media circus of who to blaime and where do we go from here. As long as we put on a decent effort.

Personally I have always thought we have had the players to win another world cup. We lost our way trying to be something we are not and we flited from one type of player to another. What we should have been doing is building a team and accepting some players are not "god's gift" to football but they are reliable.

Will cost between 5 and 10 grand depending on how quickly you can sort out flights and accomodation.

Should be able to reduce the price substantially by spending a few nights on the beach.

Tickets shouldn't be a problem.

Too expensive to take the whole family but what the heck.

On the news some Hereford fan had already price up the cost for the group stage £7,000 !

I'm estimating £20,000 for two of us for the whole tourniment.

You probably won't be far out with £20.000 for the two of you.

A hell of a lot of money, but for a once in a lifetime holiday probably worth it. And you get to see some football matches as well. Thumbs Up
