As a matter of interest Darren what is the face value of this programme?

The official supplier selling them at £9.99 with free P&P seems quite reasonable to me although if they only cost a couple of £s that's not so reasonable.

I am not 100% of the face value however when City played Kiev back in 2011 there was no price but we were told the club shop sold them for like 20p each there money but all there dealers bought the entire stock and were selling them for like £2 each then as it got nearer kickoff upped it to £3 and so on think if i remember i bought 10 at £2 them swapped a further 10 for an MCFC Scarf which i got free !!!
When england played Ukraine last time there was someone on here selling them for £6 each which is more reasonable

£10 incl p&p seems reasonable to me. Would gladly pay that for Azerbaijan v Northern Ireland next month.

In many countries it is not as simple as turning up before the game and buying programmes in bulk. There is a lot of legwork involved in pre-ordering them, collecting them and getting them back home.

If he didn't get any I'm sure the price would be a lot higher.

I went to the Ukraine v England and the only ones available were in the VIP areas.. I did not get any so they must be rare and worth at least £10.
Mick Hewitt got some so give him a go.

Consider this...the guys who are selling them at £10 are doing it for a living, not because they're philanthropic. Consider how much it would cost to contact the Ukraine FA yourself, pay for programmes, and then pay for their postage back to the UK. £10 doesn't seem so bad then.

It's the same when I used to pre order Junior Cup programmes. Had to contact maybe two or three people by phone, get no discount at all on the programmes, and then pay for the postage to get them to me. So once I'd got them, the cover price of say £1 was largely irrelevant, and was more like £1.30. If I'd bought 10, I'd need to sell 7 at £2 just to make 50 pence profit. I used to get folk complaining about the cost as it was over and above what it stated on the cover!

The face value of these programmes was 40 Hryvnia which is about £3.10. They were on sale outside the stadium.

Well i went all around the ground twice and i didnt see anyone flogging any. I also asked at the fanzone and they said they had not seen any.

They were on sale in the hatch above the metro station next to where Englandfans were asked to sign in. Not very many available though.
