Hello world

Like a lot of you I've started putting my programmes online on Flickr, and I wanted to share the link with all your fine folks - the albums are in alphabetical order, so any other organisation tips are appreciated!

The scans are ongoing - also on Twitter @theskystrikers

Cheers for any assistance!

Miles

Good work chaps, I must set up a Flickr account to display all my Crystal Palace photos.... one day.

Keep it up.

And if any of you want any photos of your heroes to go with all these programmes, you know where to come.

Well done Miles

My advice would be only upload stuff as and when you feel like it - don't get to the stage where you are trying to put everything on in one go and it is becomes a bind and a pain in the ass.

I find scanning and uploading bit by bit is more rewarding.

Good luck

That is true, I scanned and uploaded too many in a short period and it was a chore rather than an enjoyable part of my hobby.

Cheers mate

You are right - I've got like two boxes to get in! It's going to take ages, but you are right, I'll step back if it becomes a pain...

This is my favourite Barnsley thing ever...

Hi Miles

Good to see another convert to Flickr!.

I started in 2007 but didnt add a great deal but i started in earnest in 2009.

You have had some good advise already today and all i can say is that if you use the "Albums" and sort out your stuff as you go along you can then create Albums for tickets as well as many other sectors as well as keeping everything in season order as well.

I have used this also and have over 500 catergories and find that anyone viewing the site can get to see everything clearly and visit a specific area quickly.

Barnsley is 100% ded on as if u upload too much you will get fed up-been there and done that too many times so now just add a few bits n pieces when the mood takes me as to date i have put on 10,400 and there are just as many to still go on so for me it is a life's work as well as a work in progress.

The satisfaction you will get as others have already commented to see your own archive on the net is fantastic and more so when others visit you too as they are also getting something out of your sharing.

Keep up the good work, if you want or need anything else email me at lesliemillman@googlemail or PM me-ok.

Thanks heaps for the advise mate

You guys are right, have to do it for fun, not just start getting frustrated by the lack of progress!

It's worth it when you find some weird gem in the middle of a program (in the case of Man Utd, Gary Bailey being a DJ has been the peak!)

Keep in touch everyone

Miles

Just put Chelsea vs Sunderland from 1985 up at that link - should point out I collect for stupid little things in programmes...

Love the kit sponsorship page - Micky Droy still isn't sponsored, Speedy Cables sponsor David Speedie, Doug Rougvie is sponsored by Direct Beauty Sales, and best of all Keith Jones is sponsored by the classy sounding Whispers Sauna and Massage
