Hi all

Inspired by the efforts of the Bristol Rovers and Cardiff City programme sites I've had a go at pulling together a similar site featuring Wrexham's programmes since the war. I've also used Weebly to construct the site which seems to be working ok, if sometimes a little slow with loading images. I've set it up so all images can be enlarged which has meant uploading bigger image sizes.

I had hoped to update all the details with match results and attendances, programme size/pages/cost etc prior to going live but having started at the beginning of last season I still have a long way to go!

I've also included inside scans of one home programme from each season so the contents can be viewed. Hopefully I'll soon be adding full pdf's of some of the more interesting programmes from Wrexham's history.

Thanks to all the folk who have provided scans. I still have a few missing, so if anyone can help I'd love to hear from you.

Site can be viewed at:
www.wrexhamprogrammes.com

All constructive feedback welcome Smile

Good effort that must have taken a while.

Very well designed and laid out.

Also very comprehensive, you must have some collection.

Hi,

Superb. No other word for it. You've set a standard that all others should strive to achieve. Well done.

Just spend a very enjoyable couple of hours looking around your site, it's so easy to navigate. I spent most of my time looking at some of the more unusual items - Friendlies, Welsh Cup ties, European games, Reserves.

Really splendid site - far easier to navigate than Flickr!

Including the attendance for each game is a nice touch. Very useful.

The only constructive criticism I would make isn't even criticism - I'd have listed the league programmes chronologically rather than alphabetically within each season. But I can see the benefits doing it your way!

10 out of 10!

Hi folks,

Thanks for taking the time to have a look so quickly. I really appreciate the feedback.

Sadly I don't own all the programmes visible on the site but I'm working on it!

derby1884 - funnily enough chronological order was my preference but it's going to take me a while to work through that process! All the images are saved on my PC by name of the opposition which is why they've gone up like that.

bazzabaggies - I'm aware of that programme as, like you say, a few were found a few years ago. Still seem to sell for £200 or so.

Hi

Thanks for the Halifax images, really appreciate it. I recognise the FA Cup prog from eBay a few months back. You must have beaten me to it!!

Not encouraging news that out for 14 progs you need, 2 feature Wrexham. Guess I'll be looking a while.

Just had a look through and I must say it's excellent. As a Cardiff fan I can appreciate all those Welsh Games against non League opposition.

Cracking site, puts mine to shame, how long did it take you to put it all together, would love to do mine in html or css...makes it look so much more professional.

Great site.
If there are any against Bristol Rovers that you need give me a shout.
I have also put a link to your site on mine. If you are happy to do the same for mine that would be great.
Cheers, jamie.

Matt/Jamie

You are the two to blame for me starting on this exercise! I also built the site using Weebly having seen what you had been able to do. Thanks for the positive comments Smile

I thought it was weebly, did you use the professional mode or just code a bit in here and there ?

Hi Matt

I've built the whole site using the Weebly editor. I have subscribed to a pro account (so I can remove all the Weebly adverts!) but I don't think I've done anything that can't be done with the free version. I've not added any bespoke html.

Andy
