Darren,

I would hold back from buying one - there is always plenty available - I was picking up 2012 HB versions for under £15 in the end.

I did the Wembley tour two days after the chelsea v Liverpool FA Cup Final last year, and the HB were still in the Wembley shop at cover price. Maybe worth a call?

The 2011 hardback was selling on Ebay for up to £80 for the first few weeks after the game. I managed to pick one up for £20 BIN.

The price quickly came down, with many selling for < £30.

If you wait long enough they may even get down to the same as the cover price for the soft back version

Does anyone have a definitive list of all hardbacked fa cup finals? being the suspicious type I see some listed on ebay that look homemade.
Sorry if this has been covered in previous threads.

They definitely did one for the 2000 cup final between Chelsea and Villa.
A company in Archway were printing them at the time.
Not sure about before then though....

So I guess that's the last few years where they appear to be a regular thing along with 2000 and 1997.
Think the 1997 version is sky blue in colour. I'm assuming that these were officially sold via wembley? If anyone knows of any other official hardbacks would be grateful.
Cheers Scott

The latest Sportingold catalogue includes Club Wembley hardback FA Cup Final programmes for 2011, 2012 and 2013.

The blurb says produced by the FA for corporate hospitality guests only and never put on general sale.

The 2012 one is shown as 1968 out of 2000 and the 2011 one 624 out of 2000. The 2013 one doesn't quote an issue number.

If these were never on general sale I take it then that this is a different hardback version to the ones available in the Wembley shop. But is there any difference?

The 2000 Final is also up for auction (4492 out of 5000) but this does not say it was never on general sale.

I would imagine that some of those previously selling on E-bay were perhaps of this other version.

This years hardback is a bit of an odd one, they have one which is limited to 1800 and the other which is limited to 2000 odd.

The 2000 edition was definately available for general sale as my father bought 2 or 3 copies from memory.

Just been to check, one is printed /1800 the other is /2200 - two different versions.

One has Bobby Moore on the first page - thats the one with 1800 copies
One has Club Wembley on the first page - thats the one with 2200 copies

Cheers

Matt

Just when you thought it was safe to assume you had the hardback versions and that they could be obtained quite easily through the Wembley shop, up pops a different one.

Makes collecting fun but frustrating at times.

Yes, I agree it was, as unlike the 3 latest ones the Sportingold catalogue does not say it was never on general sale - see my opening post.

Thanks Matt. £25 seems a reasonable amount to pay, thanks for alerting me to the fact that there is more than One edition per final.
