I am compiling a list of Portsmouth first team home friendly fixtures for the seasons 52/3 to 57/8 inclusive.

At present I am aware of the following matches:

13/4/53 Third Lanark
30/11/53 Newcastle (G T Eden Testimonial)
28/9/53 Hearts
20/4/55 Bangu (Cancelled)
4/5/55 Ex Pompey X1 (??? Benefit match)
18/10/54 Pegasus
24/10/55 Royal Marines
11/4/56 Rampla
15/10/56 Pegasus
13/11/56 Sparta Rotterdam
28/11/56 Red Banner
10/12/56 Zagreb

Can any members can add to the list?

With thanks in anticipation

Martin

Bob Paisley, described him as 'the toughest opponent he'd ever played against'
