What would you pay for a ticket for the Champions League final.

These were in the lounges last night.
They were placed their by UEFA.

The final is being played at Wembley.
Obviously teams unknown but you can secure your seat now.
You get
a match ticket
cocktail reception
world class BUFFET
fine wines and spirits
personalised service
gift
programme
car parking(one car space for every 4 people)

They are giving it away for only £4680 per person.
So if you take a box for 20 it will cost you almost £100k

the only question mark is what is the personalised service

I always make sure that I am in the top tier of fans at my club (Palace) with regard to ticket priority. Okay we're not in Europe, but should there ever be play offs, big cup games, derby matches, small allocations etc, I'm in the first priority group.
Usually all this requires is to be a season ticket holder, and be quick off the mark when sales open, but very occasionally if it means going to certain other games to be guaranteed a ticket, I'm always happy to do so.

This ensures I never have to pay more than face value for anything, and am always guaranteed a ticket should I want it.

Lets face it, corporate stuff and crazy priced stuff like this is usually because people with money want to jump the queue and have access to something they otherwise wouldn't get near to. Just a shame that a percentage of tickets at any major event are out of reach of your average fan. But if you are thre every week, you shouldn't need to go without.

Ah but think how much you spend over a season...46 league games, a few cup games plus friendlies, add your travel costs and you're looking at well over a grand...so if you pay a couple of hundred quid to go to a few top matches a season you're probably better off overall!

However for £4,680 I think i'll pass. You could have a two week holiday anywhere in the world, 5 star first class for that price

To save myself a long winded reply, I'll just say this -

those who think they've 'saved in the long run' (for example) by paying several hundred to go to "the Final" (when if they'd have gone to the qualifying games, they'd have enough loyalty points to buy one for peanuts) just "don't get it".

For most, football usually isn't about the destination, it's about the journey. I suspect 'supporters' of the very biggest clubs understand this the least.
