im not far off getting full sets of San Francisco 49ers programmes, Yearbooks and tickets from the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
What is pissing me off are the very high postal charges by some of them which puts me off buying some of them. An example of ones i have bought are:

Yearbook = £5.00
post= £11.83
import charges = £9.10

puts me off buying from abroad and as soon as i complete my set then im done with them. doesnt seem right to me Sad

Thanks for starting a seperate topic regarding the Global Shipping programme.

I found the last thread slightly confusing ie the topic was to do Ebay Seller Ratings but ended up as something else.

Re 'Global Shipping Programme' Am I correct in thinking that their is an 'Opt Out' facility?

I assume these are coming from the USA. Is E Bay USA on the same "Global Shipping Programme" as the UK?

The E Mail I had was about UK sellers sending abroad and no mention of items coming inbound.

I have no experience of it yet but I thought it would be cheaper to send abroad as you send items to a UK Centre for onward transmission and, therefore, only pay UK postage. Perhaps I got it wrong.

Nothing you can do about the Import charges as these are at the whim of U K Customs.

I am doing nothing and waiting to see what happens.

I seem to remember an opt out clause. Perhaps the E Bay Community pages would clarify - I would think there are a few threads on this already.

the bad thing about getting items from usa to uk through the GSP is that it doesnt allow you to combine post!!!!!!! I think people using it in usa are abusing the postal rates a bit. I got quoted $28.00 to send 2 badges ???????
