I have come across a ticket stub for a Floodlit match between Forest and County on Monday 26th October. Price is 4'6 thus predecimal. It was with some late 50s/early 60s stuff so likely from that era. Any help on confirming year and competition would be very much appreciated.

The first Forest game under floodlights was 11/9/61 in the Football League Cup. Decimalisation was 14/2/71 so your ticket stub must ergo be between those dates. I hope this helps a bit!

thanks. I double checked the ticket again and in fact it is at County rather than Forest.

Notts County much earlier for their lights opening 23/3/53 v Derby County. Lights upgraded 11/10/62 v Port Vale. This could be a friendly about that time. Where's ForestMick to answer this one?
