Tis five years ago today since the untimly passing of my alltime footballing hero the late Derek Dougan (Wolves).
Has me wondering how many of todays Prem "stars" will be remembered with such fondness nearly fourty years after there retirement ?.
The Doog gone but not forgoten.

Not a problem Fish.
I corresponded with The Doog many times before his passing and he was only to happy to sign my photographs for me,and may i add at no extra cost to me, one Prem super "Star"several years ago who one of my daughters had a crush on wanted £60 for an autograph , neadless to say i told him were to stick it.
Nothing was ever to much trouble for The Doog who always put the fans first.

One for Phil or anyone else that may be interested taken from Nigel's Webspace, the superb website for all things football sticker and card related...

http://cards.littleoak.com.au/player_pages/014_derek_dougan.html

Easy to pass away an hour or two on this site, particularly if like me you are of a certain age group and collected stickers as a kid

This is the home page link...
