A bit of a longshot but one for the more advanced collectors.
I am posting on flickr and therefore reading my 1920's Manchester United programmes.
I have come across a couple of things i didn't know and would like to know more about.
I didn't realise that the 1928 Charity Shield took place at Old Trafford.Anybody ever seen a programme for this.I haven't
Also just found note of a friendly/charity match in 1929 between Manchester United v Queen's Park of Glasgow.Same question really.Has anybody seen a programme?

thanks

1928 Charity Shield Wed 24 October 1928 Everton (Dean 2) 2 Blackburn Rovers (Thornewell) 1 - attendance 4,000

Wednesday afternoon - no wonder only 4,000 turned up.

a search through the minute books at Old Trafford seems to suggest that the Queen's Park game against Manchester United was in Glasgow but no definitive proof.
The advert in the Manchester United v Liverpool programme from 1929/30 describes it as "United v Queen's Park"
Can Scottish collectors/historians throw any more light on it please

we try not to remember anything from the 1920's and 1930's
we won bugger all and would rather forget it

by the way just posted Manchester United v Manchester City programme from 1929/30 on flickr.
Some bloody good photos of the City team of that era.
There is a "set" for season 1929/30
