Depending on demand may well split the league into 2 separate 'conferences' - the fixtures will still be randomly assigned (against all others) - with some sort of SuperTipster Bowl at the end..(with a consolation event for those who don't qualify) - will think about it - or you can let me know what you think!

Good idea Dan, like the conference idea (north/South?) or failing that perhaps last year entrants in a premier and the newcomers in a championship, with promotion and relegation or am I now sounding too serious?

Not sure about relegation! Maybe Red teams and Blue teams.. or something like that (with some added rivalry spice) - perhaps!

I will be closing this to new entrants for the time being.. We are now up to 30 players - I expect a further 3-4 returnees

All new applications will be placed on the reserve list

The format will be an all-play-all competition in 2 conferences of approximately 15-16 players - lasting circa 30-31 weeks. After the requisite number of rounds the top 4 from each conference will go forward into the final weeks for the 'title' (all play all) and the remainder will play-off for the consolation event (no carry forward in either event) - so there will be Conference winners and then Title Winners (Main and Consolation events). The Title of Tipster of the Year will be awarded to the Winner of the Main Play-Off.

The draw for the 2 conferences will be random.

You will see that there are 16 in each group. The intention is for all players to play each other once (31 rounds) with the top 4 in each group to progress to the final round (the remainder playing in a Consolation Event) - both lasting 7 rounds.

The exception to the closed entries being:
a) If Jambokev returns he will be offered a place (and I will make up the numbers to an even total avoiding anyone sitting out
b) There will be a reserve list in case people drop out - with the proviso that the fixtures will need to be amended to reflect changes.

I will post the opening head-to-head fixtures very soon.
