Hi all,
fellow Rams collector and Forum member Steve Kitson and myself have been collaborating on issuing a new magazine devoted entirely to, as the title suggests, programmes and memorabilia associated with Derby County.

It's been great fun to do and very satisfying to view the final result when it arrived back from the printers! We used the same company who produce Programme Monthly so quality assured.

Anyway, we hope you'll support the project - it's only £2.50 a copy (inc postage) and payment can be made by Paypal gift to:
[email protected]

That's less than either the cost of a pint or a modern-day programme Smile

If you'd like to pay for subsequent issues at the same time, that's fine. We intend to produce quarterly.

Any profits arising from the magazine we are donating to a Derby-based charity.

It's a limited print run so be quick off the mark!

Anyone who would like to contribute articles for future issues - please get in touch.

Thanks for reading!

Another £2.50p into the coffers Thumbs Up

As an aside, would you know if the Derby County FC Home Programme History by Andy Ellis is available in a format other than Kindle?

Thanks Rocky! I don't believe it is. The closest to it is Relics of the Rams also by Andy Ellis.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Relics.....f+the+rams

I've got a copy, it's very interesting and covers all sorts of Derby memorabilia. Andy is on the forum (I've forgotten his username), he may be able to give you more information on a hard copy.

Hi all

In response to the queston , no it is only available as an e-book.
Although it is in Kindle format , you can convert it to other non-propriatory formats that work on tablets , smartphones and as pdf documents etc.

If there is a demand , however , the publishers (JMD Media , formerly Breedon Books) can do a print-on-demand option.
If anyone is interested , let me know via DM and I'll ask them for a price.

I can recommend the newsletter, some really interesting stuff, especially in relation to the tour of Germany in the 30s and the record FA Cup final defeat against Bury.

Good Luck. There was something similar with Sunderland a few years ago. I hate to be critical , but it was pretty disappointing. I think the idea of a magazine on memorabilia rather than just programmes is a must. Memorabilia can cover many areas, programmes, tickets, photos, shirts, medals, advertising, postcards I could go on and on. This will be far more interesting to the general fan. Then I would expect more sales. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the positive review Minsterman!

Do you mean The Sunderland Collector Wullie? I have read some of them as part of the research into what we wanted DCM to be. I thought it was quite good, especially in design, but I agree that it does only concentrate on programmes.

Issue 1 of Derby County Memorabilia obviously features programmes, but also includes an article on the sale of photographs of Derby's tour of Nazi Germany in 1934.

We hope to feature other items of memorabilia in future issues, but this will depend on the generosity of contributions from readers.

As the forementioned author of 'Relics of the Rams' and trustee of The Derby County Collection (www.derbycountycollection.org.uk) , i have already offered my services to the Steves with a view that I would write articles about anything but programmes.
This , hopefully , will give it wider appeal and will stop it falling into the Programme Monthly trap where it becomes predictable and boring. Shocked

Feedback has been good so far.

Thanks to all those who have supported the publication.

I'm already making copious notes for articles for issues 2 & 3 Smile
