Is it only aimed at me or do others get an advert for "Mature Dating UK" at the top of some pages on this website?

I am currently staring at Rebecca who is only three miles away and looking rather tasty. Now if was single and 30 years younger ..............

I used to get ads (though not that one!) but then I installed some free software (AdBlock) and played about with the "ads preference manager" under Google. Between the 2 courses of action I seem to have rectified the issue.

I think it depends on what browser you're using and how you access the forum but try here for suggestions:

Thanks. It has not bothered me too much as it only seems to occur on this website but some adverts relate to my recent search activity on this P C e.g. holiday, so perhaps it is time to instal a blocker.

I assume Craig and the Administrators know this is happening.

On the one below right now. Are you single. You get on to a dating site whether you press yes or no.
I do get the mature dating btw,so does my wife on facebook. Would it not be a turn up if we both went for it and got each other. Sad

I reply to Matt Rush, In France you often see ladies from the world's oldest profession in vans at the side of the road. Perhaps Rebecca's come over to the UK and is getting about so she can put it about!

Aberdeen has a real problem with them - probably because they're attracted here by the supposed "oil money".
I suppose every city with a harbour has the same issue?

I live nowhere near the harbour area but even I know to steer clear of Peep-Peeps and the St.Clement's Bar!!

As Delboy would say she sounds a "bit of a sort". Knowing my luck she would want to double date and I would get her mate who surprisingly gets more attractive after every round of drinks - oh how that takes me back!!

Hello!!

The adverts are just served up by Google - they are either random, based on your search history or based on the content of this website.

I have however (I think) blocked the "Dating" category ads from showing. Can you let me know if this worked please for you.

Craig,

Yes, I can confirm that I no longer get the 'Mature Dating UK' advert. Thanks for your efforts in that respect.

Luckily I had previously saved the website address, for reference purposes only, of course.

I use p2g parcel company daily and don't bookmark it, so search on my address line everytime I use it. Google therefore offers me that advert everytime I come here Smile

It's either that or dunsterhouse.co.uk where I bought my log cabin for storing football programmes. So not all bad

I have not seen Rebecca for a few days now. As I said earlier the ads do not bother me too much but the dating one amused me.

Obviously a "random" hit.
