Does anyone share the same frustration as i do. You're after an ordinary, run of the mill programme from the 1970s to complete a set. You check Ebay every day, check every dealers list going , and yet for years it just doesn't turn up. In the meantime, a Pre War programme featuring the same teams has appeared for about the 50th time.... Confused

Aye, Barnsley v Wimbledon 77/78, anyone got it?

(then again, if it hardly appears for sale, is it really run of the mill?)

62/3 Hull City v Leyton Orient (FAC).....Hull issues for that season don't seem particularly rare. Just this one.

Or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? Or the right places at the wrong time?

It was in the middle of that most wintery of winters - so I suppose it's possible that the crowd made a bonfire out of all their programmes to keep warm on the terraces?

Goes without saying - if anyone has a copy they don't need, please let me know!

The winter of 62-3 was bitter with many games postponed, indeed no programme was issued for a hastily arranged FA Cup tie between Luton and Swindon. It is quite possible that the Hull v Leyton Orient tie was postponed and rearranged at short notice, possibly with a low print run which may explain why it is difficult to obtain,

The question is though..................... if anybody on here, realising that they have some of these programmes and now knowing that they aren't just 'run of the mill' 60s and 70s tat, be prepared to sell them for a pound (like they would have done prior), or will they ask for considerably more. Shocked

Obviously, if these are programmes that we need, which we cannot seemingly find anywhere, then we will not be the only ones that need them Sherlock .

Will we then be informed by somebody on here that they have one for sale.............................. on ebay Laughing

The Boro v Man Utd 74/5 LC can be fairly difficult to obtain and I've seen it go for up to £20 on dealers lists when the market was at its peak. I haven't got a spare but I know where there's one available for a reasonable price. PM sent with details.
Thumbs Up
