I have been thinking of framing some of my old programmes ie cup finals Europe games with singed pics is this a good idea? as it's a waste them being boxed away.

May be a good idea to photo/copy just the front and have these framed , sure thay would look just great.
I did this a while ago with the dabut progs from Derek Dougans six Football League Clubs, had a couple of quotes none under £70 (Framed & Mounted ) so have put this on hold for the moment , but i am convinced thay would look the business.

Thats what I do with mine. I think it looks great when well laid out with mount etc. Need a bit of creativity in the layout and how to hold them in position, bit works well. Recommend non reflective glass for it to look better and limit impact of light on the colours.

i have got a couple of my signed programmes framed and they look great .i have a fully signed (by the liverpool team) 1950 fa cup final programme and i have got this framed with the songsheet and ticket.i would say its better to get it mounted by an expert instead of just sticking it in a frame.

I talked about this with a framer a few years ago, who advised that a framed programme will fade with light over the years. You can however put in the non reflective glass to avoid this.

His advice was don't ruin a decent programme by framing it, if you want the image on the wall get a good copy scan done instead.

I'd do a high quality colour copy printed on proper photo paper, rather than putting the whole programme in the frame.

You might want to look through it without having to take it off the wall.

The light can fade programmes very quickly. In an extreme case, i remember the old programme shop in Roker. The owner placed some Liverpool programmes in the window, and the next home game they were all pink and curled up Laughing
