Have joined the Flickr thingy. Have managed to upload some of the 1940's and 1950's programme covers from the F.A.Cup proper involving non league teams at home, but haven't got a scooby as to how to direct anybody to the site. Any advice appreciated, am under the name Auchinleckian, as on here.

Doh...... Laughing

When I set my account up it asked me to create a URL which would be where the photos could be accessed.
It also told me to take a note of it as it couldn't be changed once created.
Maybe if you access your personal profile, it would be listed somewhere in there?

Well Done John!

However, before you list too many more if you want others to visit your new site you need to leave tags on each of the items you are uploading[as you may now want to go back and "titivate" what you have put on so far-laborious and boring but it will get results] so when anyone is searching for say Alfreton Town or whatever, it will assit if you also tagged using the clubs name, ncikname, ground name, league they played in, opponents name, season/competition and this is just one way to attract outside interest to your site. Listing as you have done will only get views for those who have been made aware of your site but the secret is to get the widest audience as this is the ethos of flickr hence 100 of millions of images are posted worldwide and the whole point is to share.

Initially i started 3 years or so ago ostensibly to give me a pictorial view of what i had with a few chosen items, then the bug bit and i added more, i then realised others may be interested so i catergorised what was on so it was an easy way to locate stuff-the rest is history. Keep up your good work-scanning or photographing them is an arduous task but the benefits of seeing the collection grow is well worth it!

I'll have to give it thought, have got some other stuff to upload once I get around to it.
