Hi Everybody,

The new season is almost upon us & the road to Wembley starts this weekend. I will be travelling down to the coast on Sunday to watch the the Extra Preliminary Round tie between Littlehampton & Molesey. It seems better option than watch the pre-season friendly between Man City & Chelsea at Villa Park.

Any other forum members on the F.A. Cup trail this weekend ?

Cheers
Martin

No but we are on the League Cup trail with a seaside derby at home to Morecambe on Sunday.

Wish it had been away though as we haven't yet played a game at Morecambe's new ground.

The mighty minstermen are back in the league, and we have our first LC game in nine years tomorrow at Doncaster.

We've pre-sold 1200 tickets, which is good for us, and I'm also looking forward to the first proper programme of the new season.

Bring it on - COYR!!

I have an approx 500 mile round trip to sunny Torquay on a Tuesday night to look forward to, why we couldn't have played it on the Saturday I don't know.

Evening all,

Had an enjoyable trip down to the coast yesterday for the Littlehampton v Molesey F.A. Cup tie.
South West trains do some cracking group travel deals as myself & 3 mates got down to Littlehampton from London for the princely sum of £12.75p each.
A fiver for admission & a pound for a programme can't be bad.
The home side were worthy winners as they won 4-0 so now looking forward to the next round where we will be off to Burgess Hill to see if Littlehampton can continue their cup run.

Cheers
Martin

I tried the Wembley trail in 2008.

Started with Sheffield club 1st Q.Round, followed by a trip to somewhere in Cheshire I've forgotten, Woodley Sports or somebody similiar, and eventually Blyth Spartans (twice)
gave it up, in the 2nd Rd proper.

Blyth away to Bournemouth, a saturday evening in late november, freezing fog, 5:30pm kick off was a real no no Shake

I know lightweight Confused

Still, maybe one day?

Tried the Wembley trail last year for the 1st time but got only as far as the 2nd Round proper but didn't fancy Bolton v Macclesfield in the 3rd Round.

Started at Molesey & finished at Chelmsford via Merstham,Egham,Merstham again (twice),Eastbourne Borough (twice) & East Thurrock.

Hopefully will get a bit further this year.

I shall be at Wembley on Saturday for the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final, not sure what to expect as never been to a RL game before, plus it will probably be the only time at Wembley this season as I can't see Leicester getting there.

Enjoy the day!! You might be pleasantly surprised to know you can drink a beer in your seat...if you can afford a wembley pint that is!! Also you'll probably enjoy not having a ton of yellow jackets constantly trying to spoil your fun.

Had a cracking trip down to Burgess Hill yesterday where Littlehampton Town caused an upset & beat the Hillians 3-0.

Looking forward to the next round where I will be back to Littlehampton to watch them take on Eastbourne Town.

Cheers

Well I survived the half time monsoon in south London. Decent enough game which saw the Hamlet go through 1-0. Assume the draw for the next round is today or tomorrow?

Programme not bad.
