I have two items that may be of interest to Cardiff collectors,

(1) A menu, dated May 30th, 1960, for a dinner held at the Angel Hotel in Cardiff to commemorate not only their Golden Jubilee but promotion to the 1st division as well. Covers are stiff white card, and bound with blue and white ribbon. Inside is a smaller glossy 4page insert with details of the meal, the toasts, and who's given them. Item is in superb condition.

(2) A Programme of Reunion and Quiz, held by Cardiff City AFC Supporter's Club on May 8th, 1947, at Cory Hall (I assume that is / was in Cardiff?) It's a 4 page card programme, with the Supporter's Club logo on front cover. Inside are details of the players taking part, including

J. Evans, capped for Wales in 1912;

Billy Hardy, played in Cardiff's 1912-13 Southern League promotion
team;

James Blair, signed for City in 1920, capped 10 times for Scotland;

Fred Keenor, Captain of the 1927 FAC winning team, 31 caps for Wales;

Jimmy Nelson, another Scots internationalist who also played in the FAC winning side.

Tom Farquharson, an Irish internationalist, and played in goal in both FAC Finals.

Herbie Evans, won 6 Welsh caps in the early 1920's;

Jack Page, signed from Everton in 1920-1;

Jack Kneeshaw, keeper who played in Southern League and early League days for City.

Walter Robbins, won 5 caps at City before moving to WBA.

Len Davies, 22 Welsh Caps, and seemingly a Cardiff legend judging by the notes.

It is also in stunning condition, and both items, I assume, are very collectable. Am looking for suitable exchanges for either / both. PM with any interest.

John
